Gil Sinay, nacio el 26 de julio de 1910 en Rosario, Argentina. Se traslado a Chile a los cuatro años. Fue presidente de la Juventud Israelita a finales de la década de 1930. Ayudó a los refugiados judíos de Europa a traves de organizaciones como la Sociedad Hebrea de Ayuda al Inmigrante a llegar a Chile. Fue Presidente del Comité Representativo y de la Federación Sionista de Chile, del Keren Hayesod, Jevra Kedisha, Comunidad Israelita De Santiago y Director de La Palabra Israelita
