En Ñuñoa, el cinco de agosto de 1954, se constituyeron un grupo de voluntarios para conformar la “Bomba Israel”.
Asistieron: León Kleinkopf Starkman; Hugo Coello Avaria; Guillermo Gottlieb Berger; Jorge Conejeros González; Alberto Jodorkowsky Najlis; Oscar Klein Kohn; Adolfo Waissbluth Cortés; Moisés Chain Hartman Y Bernardo Hojman Pezoa.
Desde entonces frente a cada emergencia sus voluntarios concurren, bajo los principios de solidaridad, tolerancia, respeto y sin hacer distinción alguna frente a religión, condición social, ideológica o de raza.
